Reflections On Selfies with a Social Conscience:
Doing this exercise helps people to understand my taste and preferences. The concept of inquiry is about asking questions and being curious about different topics. When looking at what I eat you can tell that I love eating meat and hanging out with my friends. I'm representing myself as a very social person with a picky taste. I feel like over the past couple days I have felt rushed with most of my meals due to classes and they haven't been as balanced as I would have liked. I love going out with friends and getting a bite to eat. In the future I hope to have more variety of vegetables and not so many grains/processed food. Another example of representing myself in the social eye that I could have focused on are the types of clothes I wear on a daily basis. Usually I prioritize comfort over style due to the intense schedule I have. I usually wear sweatpants and a hoodie. Most people wouldn't pay any mind to my clothes as most people wear similar things in America. I would be perceived in the public eye as the norm. This creates social change because it promotes the idea of prioritizing what makes you feel more comfortable rather than conforming to the American Beauty standards. Overall, I feel like everyday choices are a statement to the public about what kind of a person you are. Sometimes these are unfair stereotypes and other times it's based on how you present yourself on public platforms through the things you say and people you surround yourself with.
